If you like Star Wars, music, and star wars music, I have a video for you.  It’s a video of a battle between a Jedi and a Sith, and a battle between two musicians. It’s Cello wars and a light saber duel by the PianoGuys. Opposite sides of the Force meet and battle, and then Darth Vader wants to “play”. Don’t forget to stay for the stinger, after the video!

By Durandal Cosplay: “The flowerpot base and the inside of the body are from a Movin’ & Groovin’ flower that was last available around seven years ago,” Delahanty told Crave. “It has a headphone jack in the back where I can plug in my iPod or iPhone. There are speakers in the base that play the music. The body was covered with felt and then covered in twine. I made the arms out of paper-covered wire that I also wrapped in twine. My fiancee is a professional artist, so she sculpted the head out of Crayola Model Magic and painted it.  I painted the body to match.”

As of this week the Season 1 “King of the Nerds” has been crowned. Our winner is:

My thoughts on the finale. I was amazed at how bitter Danielle when she lost. It was disheartening. Now although I am not of the team Genevieve camp, I think that she deserved to win since she was in [and won] 3 nerd offs.  Genevieve also seemed much more well rounded and knowledgeable in the different nerd categories throughout the season. I applaud Celeste for opening up more, becoming more confident in her self, however I don’t think those are necessarily qualities for making one king. I guess it’s like Ivan said, [I don’t recall the exact quote] a leader appointed by the people will be more respected in addition to being a fair and just ruler.

Yoga & Comic Con

Cross posted from my Yoga Blog in July:

In honor of last week’s SDCC [San Diego International ComicCon], I bring you Super Hero Yoga and Star Wars Yoga. How cool is this?! Artist Rob Osbourne has created what he calls a “Yoga Super Pop” collection. His collection is 11 x 17 signed posters of “Zombies. Superheroes. Ninjas. Robots. Pirates. Steampunk and Sci-Fi. Taking the world of geekdom by storm… with yoga!” I couldn’t have said it better myself!

Comic-con was always in my own backyard, so aside from it being a big part of my life, how could I not go? For years and years I went. I worked in booths and dressed up in laborious costumes. Now that I am on the other side of the US, I feel nostalgic when I think of the event. I can’t help feel a bit sad and wistful that I am not there, but sometimes that is the sacrifice in life we must make in order to better ourselves.
